I'm switching off this computer and it's not going back on until the temperature drops to something reasonable. Low 20s would be fantastic. Even a repeat of Christmas Day would be welcome.

A mild (but not cool) change is supposed to be on its way but it's a very sluggish system. It's been hanging out on the SA/Vic border for most of the day. I'm thinking about driving to Portland to meet it. (That started off as a joke but is becoming increasingly serious. If I leave now, I'll be there before 2 a.m.)
