Avenue of Honour

Many Victorian towns have an avenue of honour, a living commemoration of those from the town or local district who served in the Great War. When Dartmoor's avenue of Atlantic cedars succumbed to the effects of age, chainsaw artist Kevin Gilders ensured that the memorial lived on. Nine of the cedars have been carved into images from the war.

Details of the sculptures can be found here.
