Slugs

Description
Slugs vary in size but range from 1 inch in length to 2 ft (several recent discoveries of Amazon species have reportedly been as large as 2ft), slugs have antlers or "antenna" which are their sensory organs, but are essentially blind, and non-sentient beings, incapable of any intelligent thought or reasoning. Slugs range in color from being white to illumines, which has lead to scientific research for the possible usages of this to be applied in animal farming of beef.

Social Order

Slugs have no social order as they lack the intellect and cogitative ability, but are very territorial and engulf non-native-species or "unfamiliar species" of slug in a gelatinise secretion, which can suffocate any non-native-species invading a dominate slugs territory.

Reproduction
Female slugs are referred to as slugi and the males referred to as bucks, pregnancy of the slugs last forty days and after this time the "Slugi" deposits several thousand eggs in a dark moist area, away from direct sunlight and predators.

Origins
Consistent with their view that the fossil record as a whole does not support the evolutionary position, creationists state that there is a lack of transitional fossils showing an evolutionary origin of slugs:

The gastropod family is alleged to have evolved from either the mollusc.... However, there are no fossils of animals which appear to be intermediate between mollusc and slugs. If modern slugs really did come from it, all this shows is the same as we see happening today, namely that slugs come from slugs.

According to the origins theory model used by young earth creation scientists, modern slugs are the descendants of the two founding members of the modern Slug that were taken aboard Noah's Ark prior to the Great Flood. It has not yet been determined by baraminologists whether slugs form a holobaramin or if all these species are in fact apobaraminic or polybaraminic.

After the Flood, these two slugs bred from the Ark passengers migrated across the global and into the sea. There is debate whether this migration happened over land with lower sea levels during the post-flood ice age, or before the supercontinent of Pangea broke apart. The idea that God simply generated slugs into existence there is considered by most creation researchers to be contra-Biblical.
