Okay. I'm about to start packing for the trip. I'm off first thing tomorrow and I won't be back for a week. Chances are that I won't get the opportunity to post anything while I'm away. I will try. No promises.
But when I come back, there'll be enough material to keep me going for ... well ... weeks. I've contacted all my friends in that area (howdy, folks!) and we've mapped out my diary. It looks as if there's going to be a lot of food and alcohol involved. In between the eating and drinking I hope to get out and about.
So, in just over a week's time there'll be a lot to read and look at on this blog—natural history, social history, travel and the odd medical emergency ...
