Bosch's other birds

Jason at Cephalopodcast (have you checked it out yet?) reminded me that Hieronymus Bosch models are available for the mantelpiece. Among them are some of those wild and wonderful hybrid birds.

The letter-carrier from The Temptation of St Anthony. Based on a crossbill, perhaps?

The Devil on a night chair from The Garden of Earthly Delights. A libel on nightjars? (The original has a bunch of fine bristles on its snoot, which make it look even more nightjar-ish.)

The company that manufactures these figures also makes angels. I note that not one of them flies on spoonbill's wings. Surely some mistake there?
