Red-rumped parrots

One of the problems with driving long distances in short times is that you don't get much of an opportunity to stop and enjoy the scenery. But I did spend a brief time at the visitors centre in Dubbo, where I saw these red-rumped parrots (Psephotus haematonotus). The males are the bright green ones. The females are not so colorful.

They were feeding on the lawn underneath that erstwhile planet Pluto.
