Well, the restructuring process at work is best described as confusing. Apparently, the new structure — whatever that is —will be in place by July 1st. And although we're not sure of the configuration — different sources offer different interpretations — we do know that it will be accompanied by what is euphemistically known as downsizing. This is going to get interesting.
And my house is falling to pieces. Literally. Because I can't afford to fix it, it's become a book-lined hovel. Certainly, the books are good insulation but their combined weight is separating the floor from the walls and the walls from the ceiling. What was a sound and cozy cottage when it was built in 1922 is now crumbling and cracking. Still, it retains some charm, which is more than I can say for the owner.
My next house is going to be a bunker.
