Snail vs Parkinson's Law

Life's frantic at the moment. I'm concentrating on getting the text completed for my book, so I can then start on the illustrations. I'm working to a self-imposed deadline that sits just a hair's breadth this side of Impossible but is well into Have You Lost Your Mind territory.

I've always been a believer in Parkinson's Law — work expands to fill the time available — so I've reduced that time. Smart thinking, huh? This means that I'll be devoting attention to the manuscript to the exclusion of … well … just about everything else.

But I am determined to keep blogging, even though posts may be sporadic and possibly even incoherent. So business as usual, really. Not sure why I even mentioned it.

It's a book about wildlife, but I don't want to jinx it by talking about it in detail until it's well underway! (Not that I'm superstitious, you understand. I'll rationalise it somehow.)

Pressure produces diamonds - so - your book should be brilliant! Good luck! IMO - time pressure is the worst!
