What else is there to do on a hot afternoon? Although it's cooler on the Tablelands than on the coast, it can still get pretty warm in the middle of day. The pademelons have the right idea. When the weather's like this, the only sensible thing to do is take a nap in the shade.

That is a great photo! It had to be said. And I didn't use morse.
Thanks,that really made my day.
Oh, I know exactly how he feels.
And I feel a nana nap coming on...
Thanks, Kirk. I had to sneak up on him. When he woke up, he looked a little sheepish.
Sherryl, just looking at the pic makes me want a snooze. During the day paddies usually doze with their tails tucked under them, so he must have been in real need of a sleep.
Awesome photo. Great to see you back blogging as I missed you when you had a break! Paddies always make me smile!
Sometimes other things intervene, as you know! BTW, someone's bloody roaming dog savaged a tree roo last week. I will try to find out more tomorrow when I go into town.
Aww! So cute!
Isn't he? He's given up snoozing there now because the two joeys like chasing each other through the shrubbery. No peace for the adults.
Not good re the tree roo. It's amazing how many people in Far North Queensland think it's OK to let your dog wander round at night hunting our wildlife. Gets my blood up GRRR...
The gate is still open, but I haven't seen the dog lately. I'm hoping they've got a fenced yard for it. (But I'm doubtful.)
There's a ridiculously large number of roaming pets here. No one seems to care about wildlife or livestock.
