Jottings from the Tropics: 5 March 2012

I am easing back into blogging.

You'd think that after some time off, I'd feel refreshed and raring to do stuff. Yeah, I'd think that too. And we'd both be wrong. But it's always good to have a go, so well done us.

Last week was one of those weeks. No point dwelling on the details because we've all had them. I spent a lot of time at the bakery — not only for the delicious comfort food, but also for the paper bags that the delicious comfort food comes in. Best thing when you're hyperventilating, a paper bag. Comfort food not so much. You don't want to inhale crumbs. That doesn't calm you down at all.

Anyway, this is a different week. Or so my diary tells me. I might have turned over two pages at once. Let's see how it goes.

Hi Snail
I did something new tonight - i went into the local Nature Reserve with a torch, looking at Millipedes and Crickets, and also found some Semi-slugs.
As beautiful as ever.
Glad you are back.

And I managed to write it without swearing, Crash! Now there's an achievement.

Denis, they are groovy little things. The more you look, the more you see. It's been pretty dry here, but we've had some rain so perhaps there'll be a few more snails out and about here.
