Sandal thief

This is what happens if I leave my gardening footwear unattended. In the house. As you can see from the state of the footwear, the turkeys are not fussy about what they steal.

One tried to make off with a hammock that I had rolled up and propped against the wall. Another attempted to half inch a large concrete snail. The bird had managed to roll it several metres before I foiled the plan. The snail weighs about 2kg. A brush turkey doesn't weigh much more.

If only I could train them to use this skill for my benefit...I could send them out on all sorts of Dickensian capers.
