I've been thinking about blogging on this image for a while but haven't got the right angle yet. While I'm waiting for inspiration, I'd like to share it with you. It's a picture of the
cocoons of a clouded footman moth (variously known as
Anestia ombrophanes or
Xanthodule fuscogrisea) taken in northern New South Wales by nature enthusiast and blog commenter
Tapperboy. Those beautiful baskets are woven from silk and shed hair.
