School's out!

End of the working year!

I can't help feeling that I've forgotten to do something important. Oh well, it's too late now. Uni is closed until 2 January 2007. 2007! Where did 2006 go? What have I got to show for it?

Another hot day with strong north-westerly winds. Not good news for those fighting fires in Gippsland. But they might get help from a rain band that's crossing the state right now. It's gone straight across this part of Melbourne with only a few drops falling here. I hope someone gets the benefit from it.

Seven and a half droplets here at Maffra, I've completely lost faith in the radar, showed us in good rain and nothing was falling. Enjoy the Christmas break Snail. :-)

There might be a bit more heading your way, Duncan. We've just had about 2 mm, which isn't a huge amount but as this part of the city usually misses out altogether, we consider ourselves soaked!

I've just looked at the list of warnings current for Victoria: coastal wind, ocean wind, fire, severe weather, severe thunderstorm and farmers and graziers ... The only thing we're missing is a flood warning.
