Excuses, excuses ...

The rain started the moment I bought the new camera, so I haven't had much chance to use it. Here are a couple of shots taken with the 60mm Micro Nikkor.

Overcast weather meant I had to use a fill flash to get a good depth of field. Unfortunately, there was still sufficient light to soften the images when I and/or the subject moved.

I'll get the hang of it soon.

It is indeed! Such a little cutie. The leaves of that Teucrium growing in my garden are the most beautiful shade of grey. Great backdrop for butterflies and my collection of garden pests.

Great photos. I'm envious of the new camera but totally understand the need for patience and diligence in order to make the darned thing work!
I guess you'll be aiming for amazing photos when you are up to speed.

Since I got the darned camera, it's either been too windy, rainy and/or hot!

I'm planning to get down to the beach some time soon to take some pics of rock pool life.
