Off the air 2

From tomorrow I'll be back in locations without internet access. Worse than that, there'll be no mobile phone coverage. I'm loading up the blog with entries that will be posted at regular intervals. Well, that's the plan.

If it works, I'll be taking the computer to localities where mobile phones do function adequately (e.g. the roadhouse near Lake Eacham) and doing a similar thing with the next batch of pics.

Unfortunately, the cost of dial up through the mobile is 'orrible, so I won't have much of an opportunity to browse the internet. So let me apologise in advance for not reading everyone else's work while posting my own. It's a bit rude but that's the way it will have to be for the next two or three weeks.

But it'll give me something to look forward to when I get back home.

See you on the other side.

Thanks, Nut!

Dave, it's not really wilderness --- just poorly serviced by our telecommunications businesses.

Having said that, there is now mobile phone coverage in Malanda. The main street is thronging with people enjoying the novelty.

Okay, I saw one person having a conversation on a mobile but what's a little hyperbole between friends?
