I saw these tracks today. They were on the far bank of a creek in a mangrove swamp. Whatever made them had dragged itself out of the water on its belly and then dragged itself back in again.

When I saw a mudskipper sitting on the near bank, I had an inkling. This little fellow certainly dug in his pectoral fins but they didn't sink in very far. And he wasn't heavy enough to leave a belly scrape. If a mudskipper had created those tracks, it must have been the Godzilla of mudkippers.

...So meet Godzilla.

I'm convinced.
