If you love frogs …

… you'll love David Nelson's blog about his travels up the east coast. It's the (very) wet season in the tropics and the frogs are out and about.

In fact, you might say that North Queensland is a Frogger's Paradise. The reptiles are pretty cool too. And he's also seen some charismatic slimofauna.

In the Wild is a good place to get lost for a while.

Clamsies? The verification code is CLAMSIES? Did they do that on purpose?

Anyway... the frogs are fabu, I am seriously envious.

The fire stories from OZ become more alarming each day. Hope you're okay there....

Denis, David's photos are always excellent. He has such a good eye.

Sherrie, we do frogs quite well. There are even groovy frogs in the arid interior.

We're all overwhelmed by the devastation. Every day brings horrific stories, many of them too painful to hear. I cannot imagine what it must have been like for those who were there; I cannot imagine what the survivors now have to carry with them for the rest of their lives.

The whole world is watching in horror, I daresay. We certainly are, in the UK.

I did hear a good news story today --- a woman and her children survived the fires by sheltering in a wombat burrow! No reports about the wombat.
