Boo!

I think I've used that header before...

Once again, I find myself apologising for not posting. It's a combination of being busy, disorganised, a bit under the weather, disorganised and...well...disorganised. And you know how it is. If you stop posting for a while, not posting becomes a habit. (I'm not entirely sure how not doing something is habit-forming. Let's pretend I never wrote it. *waves hand* This is not the sentence you're looking for.)

Here's what's been going on at my place. An invasion of coppery brushtail possums.(Sorry about the quality of these photos, but I had to be quick. Too slow and the possums would be ransacking the house.)

At the kitchen window

A living Garfield doll (on a lichen-covered flyscreen)

When you're small, you can climb up a window frame

Looking winsome

When winsome fails, try slightly comical

The four possums (only three of which appear in these photos) all nest together on the patio roof, but spend their waking hours squabbling with each other. They're like kids forced to share a bedroom.

They're complete hooligans!

My, they're everywhere!! Hope they're not causing too much mess.

They are a bit liberal with their...er...waste. That hose is very useful!

They are cute - but 4 of anything that uncontrollable would make a lot of mess and mayhem!

They knock things over occasionally. But apart from that --- and the wee --- and the running along the roof --- and the hissing at each other, they're quite unobtrusive.

If one can overlook the mess, their antics are outright hilarious.

They really are very entertaining. I've told them off a few times. They stop what they're doing, look at me, look at each other and then carry on!

Cute little guys! Glad they don't cause any more trouble than you said...

I get behind on posting, too, so don't let it worry you too much. Many of us are busy with our everyday lives, and this cyperspace stuff can kidnap us all if we're not careful... >:}

I really enjoy your blog and seeing all the plants & animals in your part of the world.

OH - and I am not a robot! Hope I just proved that...
