A quick note...

I'll be back to blogging soon.

In the meantime, here's my news: I've sold the property. It's currently under contract with the settlement date a couple of weeks before Christmas. So I've got my head down with work and all the activities associated with shifting house. Because of this, things like NaNoWriMo and blogging have been pushed to the bottom of the 'to do' list.

More in a little while.

=) Hee. I decided to do NaNoWriMo this year. Then, about 2 days later, after a Reality Chat with the ever practical husband, I revoked my pledge. Well, in my head, at least--don't know how to do it on their web site. Too much other stuff to be done right now, and I'd not really prepared for it.

Next year, though, NaNoWriMo for sure. You?!?

ANYhow, best of luck to you on your giant project, and I hope that you've scheduled some rich rewards for your hard work and good deeds. =)

Next year for NaNoWriMo? You're on!!!

Moving house is such a pain. It's not that I have a lot of stuff, but I'd be just as happy with less! I am trying to redistribute as much as possible to charity shops. Should have done this some time ago...

I do enjoy the Snail's Eye View. Don't give it up!
Best of luck with the move.

I think you should check 'Tetrapod Zoology' site for report on the Pink-tongued Skink - teeth specially adapted for snail consumption.
Alas for the snail.
I would have forwarded it if I knew how.

I won't give it up, Andrea, although I might be even more erratic when it comes to posting. :)

I'll have a look at the TetZoo post. Pink-tongues are fairly common in some parts on NEQ. When I was in Townsville, I was thinking of doing a little project examining pink-tongue poo to see if I could ID the snails from shell fragments and possibly radulae (which can be quite resistant to digestion). It didn't happen, unfortunately!

Oooooo... I'll miss the place (vicariant living).

I'm hoping to end up eventually with a bigger property with the same suite of species and --- hopefully --- the same range of personalities.

It might take some time, though.

Anthea --- I called you Andrea! I'm sorry. I need new glasses. Possibly a new brain as well.

I keep meaning to update stuff. I'm in the middle of trying tow work out what happens when. Settlement is on 12 Dec, but the removalists are in on 8 Dec. Which is not very far away.

I'll be house-sitting for 2 - 3 months, so the gear has to go into storage. But that place won't be available until about a week after settlement, so I'm now trying to decide what to take with me. Cos once stuff goes into storage, I can't take bits out.
